Camp Staff

A bit about us:

Braeburn Lake Summer Camp is a true Yukon experience for ages 6 and up.
We’re a small, rustic camp located on Braeburn Lake (about 100km North of Whitehorse).

Each summer, we hire 4 camp counsellors (aged 16 years old and older) to work with our Camp Director and Assistant Director alongside several enthusiastic volunteers to create an atmosphere of fun, safety, learning, and kindness for children and youth, 6-14 years old. Counsellors practice camp emergency procedures and provide input into day-to-day camp planning. They sleep in cabins with the campers and guide them through their daily schedule.

This summer, we will have one week of leadership training (June 14-18) and four weeks of children’s camps (June 28-July 30). Prior experience working with children, outdoor skills, and certifications in first aid or water safety are assets. (Please provide details on current first aid, safety, or waterfront certifications). The Counsellor position postings will come out very soon – stay tuned!
